With both record-breaking temperatures and snowfall here in Fairbanks, Alaska our students and staff brought warmth into the building. We held our 12 Days of Gratitude Campaign, and shared all that we are thankful for. The Comet Cubs and Comet Choir held concerts, and the band and orchestra put on an impressive annual concert for family and friends.

We celebrated Catholic Schools Week and leaned into all that makes our Catholic Schools of Fairbanks community so special. Our Magis Houses competed in their annual Cereal Drive and we had another epic Spirit Week. We love our K to 12th grade Mass and of course, everyone enjoys the donuts. We also celebrated the 100 Days of School and seniors and their “buddies” met to celebrate with a delightful tea party. We hosted our second round of parent-teacher conferences as well as a day of professional staff development. Our student athletes remain busy and our hockey team made again to the State championship this year. Our basketball teams prepared for Regionals and their attempt at a State Championship. The junior high girls’ volleyball team ramped up, and our spring sports began indoor conditioning.

Re-enrollment for families continues and is one of our busiest times of the school year. It has been a challenging few months filled with indoor recess and cancelled school days, but our students and staff are very resilient. They face each day with a smile, answering the call to educate and serve one another.
