St. Jude Mission School, San Jacinto, California

In the fall St. Jude Mission School students began another great school year. The students were excited to start school. They walked into the familiar classrooms, and quickly noticed all the new books, posters and materials. The Kindergartners through 2nd graders had their pictures taken in front of colorful balloons and ribbons welcoming them back to school.

The teachers went over classroom procedures and expectations. During our Back to School Night, we were so pleased that all of our parents came to meet the teachers and see their children’s classrooms. The teachers presented to the parents what their children would be learning during this school year.

Students, faculty and staff attended Mass to celebrate the Assumption of Mary and the students were given a flower to place in vases in front of St. Mary’s statue. Before Mass ended, Father Alex had the students take a flower and give it to someone who attended the Mass.

We had our first Student Learning Expectations Awards of the school early in the year after our school Mass. A student from each grade was chosen to receive the award. The teachers chose students for being Life-long Learners, Aware Citizens, Faithful Catholics, Effective Communicators and Well-rounded Students. We are very proud of all our students at St. Jude Mission School and are looking forward to a great 2025-2026 school year.
